The division of labor in a household often causes tons of trouble and fights between couples. The thing is that not everyone wants to do some given chore, and some are often unseen, but take up a lot of time and energy.
A mom-of-two recently decided to take it to Reddit’s “Am I The A-hole” popular sub to ask if she was in the wrong for going to work for a few days to teach her husband a lesson. As it turns out, the wife had been doing all the house work, plus she’s been taking care of their two children, a 12-year-old and a 13-month-old baby. One day she had a migraine so she decided to lay down on the couch and try to relax, when the husband walked home from work and yelled at her for doing nothing but sleeping on the couch while he’s working.
In order to prove him wrong, she suggested he takes a few days off work while she went to work. Expectedly, he couldn’t even last a day with taking care of everything around the house, plus the children, so he dropped them off at her work and blamed her for framing him to look like a s**t parent.
The woman now wants to know if it was an a-hole move of herself to try and teach her husband a lesson.
No, girl, you’re not the a-hole! In fact, the only a-hole here is the husband that can’t recognize her hard work, and I really didn’t like the move when he dropped off the kids at her work. The Reddit court seems to agree with me, and deemed the woman to be ‘clear’.
