If you still live with your family, are single, and tell them that you’re going on a date, you know what’s coming for you: endless question about every detail possible about the date. What do you do about it? Well, not telling them that you’re going on a date is an option, but making a pamphlet that answers every single question before they even get the chance to even ask it is probably your best bet!
And that’s exactly what Mary Beth Barone did while on vacation in Florida.
She told BuzzFeed that she met a guy in Florida at a wedding before going on a vacation with her family, so she planned to meet him in Miami for a date. However, she was not sure how to approach her family and tell them that she’s leaving them to go on a date. All 30 members of her family.
So, instead of dodging all of the questions she knew were coming for her, Barone made a pamphlet of answers.
It’s titled “I’m going on a Date While We’re on Vacation”, and it lists everything they ‘don’t actually need to know but definitely will ask’.
She shared her pamphlet on Twitter, and you can check it out below:
Barone told BuzzFeed that even though her family is nosy and invasive, they loved the pamphlets.
She also noted that she knows all of their questions come from a place of love and caring, and, as it turns out, the date went super well. The guy, however, ghosted her a few weeks later, but that’s for another story.
People online absolutely loved Barone’s story, and they didn’t hesitate to share their love:
