Most of us would agree that you can easily get bored at work, and what we usually do is take a few minutes out, and return to the office with a fresh mind.
Some people decide to pop out a cigarette, while others will non-stop rant about how stressful the day is. One thing most people don’t do, however, is go to the toilets to please themselves as a way to let of some steam.
Nadia Bokody, however, is a woman who does exactly that.
She works as a columnist for intimate relationships and she’s the editor of She Said, and she says that she slips out for her daily “coffee break”, but instead of going for a coffee, she goes for “a wank”.
The 34-year-old wrote in a post that when other colleagues are busy puffing on their cinnamon vapes and making trips to Starbucks to wait for 10 minutes in the line for their pumpkin latte, she’s “rubbing one out”.
She explained that she would head home for a quick dalliance with her toy if it’s lunch time, but, if she can’t wait that long, she would pop into the restroom, throw in her headphones, and silently surf her favorite website until her stresses are eased.
Fifteen minutes later, she would reemerge brighter and more focused, and ready to tackle whatever the rest of her day throws at her.
Her stress release method has been scientifically proven to work, she notes, unlike the mindless scrolling of social media and filling yourself with fried, sugary foods.
Nadia also pointed out that the employers don’t have the “right” to “dictate what you do in your allocated break time”.
It may be surprising to hear, but a survey conducted by Hot Octopuss found that 40% of employees already satisfy themselves on the job.
