Even though most of the world’s attention has been taken by sport stars, actors, musicians, and politicians, the true heroes of our society are those who perform miracles on daily basis and save lives – medical workers.
However, the reality is that in most countries, medical staff are absolutely overworked and underappreciated for what they do. I mean, can you just imagine being faced with human tragedy every single day, knowing that someone lost a loved one despite all your best efforts. Being a medical staff worker takes an enormous toll on one’s mental, as well as physical health.
Nurses don’t become nurses for prestige or money, but mostly because they care about other people and they genuinely want to help people. Yes, it’s very, very tough, but it can also be very rewarding work, knowing that you made a difference in someone’s life.
