Being happy isn’t always about the healthiest choices in life. For example, sometimes happiness can be a cold beer after a hard day at work, or a slice of pizza when you need it the most.
Meet Jolene Nicole Jones, a former Montana bodybuilder who recently decided to post her #transformation photos on Facebook.
However, they’re not what you expect.
She goes from being very lean and muscular, ready for a bodybuilding competition to happy, as she puts it.
Check out her post for yourself below:
Her post shows us something that we can all be reminded of: health isn’t measured by six-packs or single-digit body fat or size-zero clothes.
In fact, health isn’t even entirely about one’s physical appearance. Sure, being active and eating well are extremely important for one’s overall health, but mental, social, and emotional health are just as important. Oh, and everyone must remember that enjoying the ‘finer’ things in life in moderation is not a bad thing!
Eating or drinking something that is considered “bad” occasionally is not a bad thing to do.
We need more examples like Jones in a world that tries to make women feel like skinny is the only way to be.
