Woman Stalked By Cop Who Used Police Database To Look Her Up

Emily Hackler is a woman that recently shared screenshots of an extremely creepy conversation with a police officer. She took it to Facebook to share her story, where it went viral and it racked up thousands of engagements.

Hackler wrote that some creep decided to follow her on her way home from Planet Fitness, and it turned out that he works for the Rossford Police Department and used her plate number to figure out who she was. In an almost believe-it-or-not scenario, he even messaged her personally and told her how hot she was. Yes, you read that right.

The cop found Hackler on Facebook and messaged her that he “had fun racing her” earlier. Of course, she had absolutely no idea who he was, and she wrote in her original post that they weren’t racing, but she was speeding because he was following her after both of them stopped right next to each other at a stoplight.

The cop admitted that he used her license plate number to look her up further into the conversation, and she told The Blade that it was an invasion of privacy for sure.

She noted that he was in his personal vehicle, so the fact that he wasn’t in his official work vehicle got her thinking.

Emily shared the conversation on Facebook, and the post was eventually noticed by Rossford city officials, so the police officer was immediately placed on administrative leave.

Emily posted an update a few days later that the police officer resigned before the investigation into the allegations was even complete. Nevertheless, the city found that there were grounds for termination and that the results of the investigation will remain in his personnel file.
