A man took the lives of ten people in a high school in Texas a few months ago, and amongst the two teachers and eight students whose lives were taken was a girl named Shana Fisher.
Fisher’s mother alleged that the shooter, Dimitrios Pagourtzis, had been harassing her daughter for months in an interview.
She said that the girl had rejected him many times, but he kept asking her out. In her mother’s words, Fisher “embarrassed” him in class, so he took her life and the lives of 9 other people within a week in the school.
Pagourtzis also brought explosive devices that malfunctioned on site.
GOP legislators seem to be arguing for pretty much everything except making guns less accessible. For example, the state governor suggested that schools should have fewer doors in order to keep the kids safe.
However, Fisher’s story sparked a conversation about what we tell young boys about what they’re owed from women.
They’re owed NOTHING.
However, we don’t teach boys that, and Twitter user @adigoesswimming has a problem with that.
She quoted Fisher’s mother and started a thread in which she shared what she said to her nephew who got rejected by a girl he liked.
@adigoesswimming’s tweet received more than 350k likes, and it attracted many people to it.
