They say that the bond between a mother and her daughter is one of the strongest out there – and I can definitely confirm that. But, just like any relationship between two people, even this one can become strenuous, and a problem or a misunderstanding might occur.
Not that it’s always that big of a deal, as we assume that the intentions of both parties are good, but there are often some setbacks, and some people might get offended.
As one Reddit thread showed, sometimes it might take years before you realize what’s happening, and it’s not a good sight.
Namely, Reddit user u/skeleton-hands took it to Reddit to ask fellow women if their mother ever made comments to them in their teenage years that, when they’ve grown up, made them realize that she was bitter and jealous of their youth.
Surprisingly, many women responded by sharing their personal stories, and reflected how those seemingly innocent experiences affected them in the long run.
