J. R. Storment is a self-described “workaholic” and the co-founder of a company called Cloudability. He admits that he spent much of the previous 8 years working overtime, late, he skipped holidays, and he eventually laid the foundations for a successful business.
However, all that success of his company meant absolutely nothing after he realized that he had missed the majority of his son’s short, yet action-packed life.
Storment, full of regret, decided to take it to LinkedIn to write an emotional letter in which he urged parents to reassess their priorities and put family first. He advised people not to make the same mistakes he did, because he can never see his son again.
Check out his emotional letter for yourself below:
We believe every parent needs to read these heartbreaking, yet wise words. No parent should miss out on the precious moments of their children’s early childhood years unless it is very strictly necessary.
People were absolutely touched by the heartbreaking letter but were glad this dad learned the lesson.
