Even though we’re well aware how inappropriate is, chances are that you have relatives or friends that keep asking you sensitive questions, such as when are you getting married, or when you and your significant other are planning to have kids, etc.
Regardless of what your answer is, it probably won’t be the right one, and they’ll keep pressuring you to have them sooner, or why don’t you have them already, and such.
As we all know, many adults tend to push parenthood for later days, or choose not to have children at all. Some people can’t have kids for medical reasons, so it’s very, very rude to ask someone why they don’t have children.
Well, one Redditor found themselves in such a situation, and she tried to respond to such a question with a joke. The thing is, they didn’t get the joke, and the whole situation turned into a conflict.
Redditor u/Noswelling shared their story on the popular Am I The A-hole subreddit and asked fellow Redditors if they were in the wrong for saying her joke to a kids-related question by a relative.
Expectedly, most Redditors responded that she and her partner and most definitely not the a-holes here. There are many reasons for one not to have kids, and it’s a question that no human should ask another human why and when – ever!
